Mistahiya is an indigenous Cree word which means grizzly bear. In the spirit of remembering the lands we live on here in Banff National Park we tread lightly while taking photography with respect for the environment and its history.
Mistahiya Images specializes in outdoor wedding photography with the majestic backdrops of the Rocky Mountains in Banff, Canmore, Lake Louise, Emerald Lake, Lake Louise and Kananaskis Country.

My wedding photography style is a relaxed approach, blending into the energy of the day to capture that lightning in a bottle magic of one very special day. It’s all about the chance moments, the glances, the looks and that lightning between two people.
In setting out to document your special day for me it's all about capturing the natural narrative; the welcoming of family and friends, and the hustle & bustle of getting ready and getting to the location on time. Moments, smiles, laughs, tears, family, friends. I know how important it is to my clients to have professional photos they love and want to hang up in their homes.
